Pantry Of Hope

Matthew 25:40 “The King will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you do for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

Hi everyone,

I am Sister Alma. Director of the Pantry of Hope!!

Years ago, God put in my heart a vision, I could see handling out groceries, encouraging people, listening to people, just loving and caring about people and their needs. Above all that giving them the Word of God!! Spiritual food!! Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered ” It is written” Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out from the mouth of God.  God gve us the name The Pantry of Hope.

I shared this vision and this desire to start a food pantry with our pastor, Pastor John Pogue, and he had the same desire to help those in need and to give hope!!

The Pantry of Hope came about and was dedicated on January 21, 2007.

It is a honor to help God out in so many ways.  When people come to the Pantry of Hope they are given spiritual food, the Word of God.  We tell them about the love of God and how God cares about hem, and we do too!!  They are prayed for, and they re given encouragement.  They are given a new hope! They are also given groceries.

It thank Pastor John and his wife Sister Leslie for all the help and support they give us.

I thank God for the wonderful team God has blessed me with.  They are Sister Bert, Sister Julia, Sister Loni, and Sister Pat.

Most of all, I thank God for the Pantry of Hope! To be able to help his people out. To be his hands, his feet, to be his voice and his ears to listen to his people to listen to their concerns, and needs. Just to be a listening ear!  PRAISE GOD!!

God is good and God bless all of those whose visit our website.

Thank you,

Sister Alma

By helping others we realize how fortunate and blessed we are and we can share what we know and what is needed.

Sister Loni

When Pastor John said we were going to open the food pantry and Sister Alma was the leader God told me to help her, I call that a God whisper. I think that if we help people we are doing it for the Lord.

Sister Bert

I am thankful to God for bringing this opportunity to give to others. I love giving to others as much as I can.  The food pantry had been on my mind even before I was asked.  I know God had his hand in it.
